Aurora Canopy

A Responsive Ceiling of Laser Light

An immersive laser canopy inspired by the aurora borealis, forming a continuous volumetric ceiling above a crowd as movement influences colour, intensity and pattern.

Aurora Canopy is an immersive outdoor laser environment inspired by the aurora borealis. Dense, layered beams form a luminous ceiling above the crowd, creating the sensation of standing beneath a digital sky. The installation is designed as a living public environment rather than a fixed laser show: movement beneath the canopy can influence intensity, colour shifts and evolving patterns. Multiple laser sources, controlled haze and responsive media combine to create a continuous volumetric field in which the audience can gather, dance and alter the atmosphere together.
